Technical Lead Mainframe Projects Contract

You will lead and mentor a team of talented developers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will design robust scalable and efficient COBOL/Mainframe solutions that align with business objectives. You will explore new technologies and methodologies to modernize legacy systems and improve performance. Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Technical Lead on large government projects 
• Deep Technical Expertise: Proven experience in COBOL programming Mainframe technologies (z/OS JCL VSAM CICS PL/I) Database Management (SQL IDMS IBM Db2) and Scripting (REXX Python).
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams set clear expectations and provide constructive feedback.
• Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset to anticipate future trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• ProblemSolving Abilities: A keen eye for detail and a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative teams
• Consulting Skills: Strong consulting clientfacing skills and ability to build rapport
