What youd be doing in this role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Creative Production to lead our Production Studio within the Canva Creative team. This is a 7 month fixedterm maternity cover contract with potential opportunities for transitioning to permanent for the right fit.

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

• Lead a powerhouse Production Studio of 50 creative professionals including producers videographers motion designers and more to deliver worldclass creative content across TVCs OOH Social Media Print Live Events and beyond.
• Oversee the entire production slate managing highprofile campaigns like our global brand campaigns our annual Canva Create event and others in collaboration with our Group Operations Director Production Operations Director and Executive Creative Director.
• Innovate production processes and workflows ensuring efficiency while elevating craft and quality in all creative outputs.
• Act as a mentor and coach to senior team members (currently of about 34) fostering growth creativity and a collaborative team culture.
• Build and nurture relationships with vendors and external partners ensuring seamless execution during highvolume periods.
• Strategically manage budgets and resources to deliver impactful onbrand content that connects with Canvas global audience.

• Proven leader: You have 10 years of experience in creative production with at least 5 years leading teams in fastpaced dynamic environments.
• Coaching experience: You bring experience mentoring team members with a proven ability to coach and develop leaders (this role will coach 34 team members).
• Change management: You excel at managing change rallying teams around new directions and ensuring successful adoption of processes or strategies.
• Stakeholder management: Youre adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments working assertively yet collaboratively with both internal and external contacts.
• Ambiguity navigator: You thrive in complexity knowing the right questions to ask to guide teams and align efforts toward success.
• Collaborative mindset: You have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with crossfunctional teams and external partners fostering collaboration across all levels.

Canvas inhouse creative team is on a mission to make Canva the most loved brand in the world. The Production Studio is the heart of our creative execution blending artistry with strategy to produce impactful engaging content for a global audience. Were champions of innovation problemsolving and multichannel thinking and we love to collaborate to bring bold ideas to life.

As the lead of the Production Studio team youll direct a powerhouse team of creative producers motion designers photographers videographers and editors. We produce worldclass creative content that is impactful and engaging for our global community and looks and feels unmistakably Canva.
