Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Global Financial Markets team in Sydney with a focus on Energy and Infrastructure Financing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising on a broad range of financing transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the structuring negotiation and execution of financing transactions for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert legal advice on a variety of financing arrangements including project finance corporate finance acquisition finance and structured finance.
  • Manage and coordinate due diligence processes risk assessments and the preparation of transaction documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners and other associates across different jurisdictions to ensure a cohesive service offering to our clients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates and other team members contributing to their professional development.
  • Stay abreast of market trends regulatory changes and innovations in the energy and infrastructure financing sectors.
  • Contribute to business development activities including pitching and presenting to potential clients.
  • Participate in industry conferences and events to enhance the firms profile and network within the sector.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
  • Minimum of 4 years postqualification experience (UK notional) ideally with a specific focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading complex financing transactions.
  • Excellent legal analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to highquality work and attention to detail.
  • Admitted to practice in Australia or another common law jurisdiction.
