Principal accountabilities
The Senior Market Development Manager is responsible for:
Market and industry engagement
- Act as the key representative for the market development team in the South East Asia and Australia
- Represent Fastmarkets at our events and proactively seek external speaking opportunities where it aligns with our commercial strategy and market development strategy
- Support the Editorial team in market engagement activities
- Plan and organise roadshows with Key Strategic Accounts to demonstrate the entire value Fastmarkets can bring to their organisation in pricing data and intelligence.
Leading financial markets initiatives
- Establish and nurture relationships across banks brokers exchanges across the region to ensure we are viewed as a partner and trusted advisor
- Have a deep knowledge of the competitive landscape to ensure we understand our competitive threats in price adoption and financial benchmark listings
- Proactively engage with financial counterparts to promote Fastmarkets prices for cashsettled futures listings indexes structured products ETFs and other financial products.
- Proactively plan market engagement activities with internal stakeholders and partners to support price adoption and liquidity in financial markets
Managing regional market initiatives
- Support the Product & Strategy team in local expert market knowledge
- Maintain a rolling roadmap for market initiatives including customer meetings events roadshows for South East Asia and Australia region in collaborating with internal stakeholders and market development team members in APAC
- Support Sr Mgmt and Leadership with relationshipbased meetings in the region
- Evaluate when to escalate and escalate as needed any business opportunities that require support from senior management and leadership
- Track and report on regional market development activities on an agreed cadence basis
People management and leadership
- Act as a role model for Fastmarkets employees in the APAC region bringing to life Fastmarkets Values
- Support and educate marked development and wider Fastmarkets employees on the financialization aspect of PRA pricing.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated driven and have a passion to be part of a fastpaced successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Objectives
- Establish and nurture existing relationships in the SSEA and Australia to promote the usage of our prices in their operational workflows incl. hedging activities
- Improve communication standards with external financial stakeholders regularly transferring knowledge of the landscape internally
- Identify and deliver on opportunities to support liquidity in Iron Ore and Battery Raw Materials futures for example improving inputs to forward curves or soliciting inputs into forward curves for potential new derivatives launches such as Spodumene Steel S etc.
- Strengthen relationships with Australian miners of spodumene and their financing banks with the goal of positioning Fastmarkets prices as the leading price to be used in contracts.
- Establish Fastmarkets position and prices in economies that are increasing influential for globally traded commodities such as Indonesia and India.
- Track developments in the evolution of pricing mechanisms especially related to platforms (i.e. GlobalOre) and emerging platforms that could influence how prices are discovered.
