Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator (Associate and Senior Level) to join our team in support of the US Armys Network Enterprise Center at Fort Leonard Wood MO.  

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Nonremote (relocation incentive available)

As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the development implementation and security of Government IT systems. You will also be responsible for working with other teams to ensure systems are safeguarded and implemented securely maintained and optimized and reliably available to the Government customer.

Associate Level Responsibilities:  

  • Install administer support and maintain server hardware peripherals software and operating systems. 
  • Maintain server environment stability through review of monitoring tools and application of patches after testing. 
  • Update and maintain SOPs and knowledge management solutions for continuity and training. 
  • Ensure proper configuration of servers virtual servers storage solutions computers and software necessary for the successful operation in baseline compliance requirements. 
  • Work with users to troubleshoot and remediate issues. 
  • Manage data backups of servers and equipment configurations per recovery guidelines. 
  • Implement patch remediation on systems to ensure network security and compliance with Cybersecurity guidelines and regulations. 
  • Create update and maintain databases required for missionrelated functions. 
  • Support migration efforts to cloudbased environments including integration of new technologies decommissioning of existing hardware and documentation. 

Senior Level Responsibilities: 

  • All the above responsibilities.
  • Provide daily supervision and direction to personnel across the Systems Administration teams.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Systems Support Technicians helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage coordinate and track work across the Systems Administration teams.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the Systems Administration delivery team.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems including monitoring the network and servers for problems diagnosing problems and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
  • Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
  • Assist in developing implementing testing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
  • Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
  • Support the development and delivery of training sessions to ensure staff understand Systems Administration resources.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (will sponsor the right candidate). 
  • IAT Level II Certification (Meet DoD 8570/DoD 8140: CompTIA Security CE equivalent or higher).
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience with a comprehensive understanding of IT Infrastructure and Business Analysis. 
  • Knowledge of Windows servers including Windows PowerShell Active Directory and GPO. 
  • Working knowledge of virtualized environments (VMWare Linux etc.) Windows Server 2012 (or higher) Operating System Certification. 

Associate Level:

  • One (1) years of IT experience within a networking or systems environment.
  • Experience with Juniper Cisco and Aruba networking equipment. 

Senior Level:

  • Eight (8) years of IT experience within a network service desk or systems environment.
  • Three (3) years of experience providing daily supervision and direction to personnel across the Network teams. 

Preferred:

  • Active secret clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  • IAT Level III Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP CCNP Security CISA CISSP GCED GCIH etc.).
  • Familiar with network vulnerability scanners (e.g. Retina ACAS Nessus). 
  • Experience with Active Directory Windows 10 Microsoft Office 365 iPhone and remote desktop (Citrix). 
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong selfstarter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 


Additional Information :

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
