We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join our dynamic team in the banking sector. You will work closely with development teams to identify bottlenecks implement metrics to monitor performance and adopt best practices in software engineering to achieve optimal results. As a Performance Engineer you will be tasked with examining application architecture and identifying areas for improvement all while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Collaboration is key; you will engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements develop performance test plans and effectively communicate findings to suggest enhancements. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members on performance impacts of code changes and deploying performance monitoring tools. Responsibilities
- Conduct performance assessments and tuning for Java applications built on Spring Boot.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing applications through detailed analysis.
- Create and maintain performance test plans and scripts to evaluate software performance under various conditions.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for coding and maintainability regarding performance.
- Monitor application performance using tools such as JMeter New Relic or similar to gather data and analyze trends.
- Provide training and guidance to development teams on performanceoriented development practices.
- Communicate performance findings and recommendations to stakeholders and implement necessary changes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in performance engineering specifically with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning techniques and optimization methodologies for Java applications.
- Experience in creating and executing performance test plans and scripts using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving performancerelated issues in complex applications.
- Familiarity with application monitoring tools and techniques to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with a strong attention to detail.
