Sr. System Engineer

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or related field.
Certifications
Must maintain current certifications in:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (A Copy of certification is required)
Experience
MANDATORY:
At least five (5) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
Job Description
RolesResponsibilities:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration and Active Directory.
- Understanding of domain controllers and Domain Name Services (DNS).
- Basic knowledge of network technologies with the ability to troubleshoot minor network connectivity issues including:
- Network Interface Card (NIC) problems
- Cabling issues
- TCP/IP configuration errors
- Basic messaging system administration skills (e.g. email).
- Familiarity with PC and server hardware including troubleshooting and resolving system issues through configuration analysis and subsystem repair/replacement (hard drives memory monitors and power supplies).
- Respond to trouble tickets issued from the Service Desk's automated trouble ticketing system.
- Perform hardware and software system maintenance tasks including:
- Installation of patches
- Upgrades
- Service packs
- Hotfixes
- Ensure system availability reliability and serviceability.
- Responsible for backup and recovery functions.
