Only candidates who are permanent in the Accountant title or those who are reachable on the OpenCompetitive List (Exam #8050) or filed for DDCs Promotional Exam #4500 or filed for the OpenCompetitive Exam #4000 may apply. If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria you will not be considered for an interview.
The candidate will prepare Miscellaneous Payment Vouchers for reimbursement of personal expenses of DDC employees including on the job site travel as well as reimbursement for professional licenses and certification. Candidate is expected to review payment requests against the Comptrollers Directive. Prepare agency checks for DDCs Annual Employee Recognition. In addition the candidate will reconcile monthly bank statements from the Imprest and Demand Accounts prepare Comptroller documents for inclusion in yearend Comptroller Audits and work closely with the Comptrollers Office to reconcile payment discrepancies.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university accredited by regional national professional or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the U.S. Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in accounting including one course each in advanced accounting and auditing; or
2. A valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license.
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II individuals must have in addition to meeting the minimum requirements at least one year of experience as an Accountant Assignment Level I or at least two years of satisfactory fulltime professional accounting or auditing experience.
