Hours: FullTime 35 Hours

The Department of Design and Constructions Division of Infrastructure is seeking a Junior Engineer for the borough of Bronx/North Queens. The successful candidate will be provided with handson training and will contribute to a range of engineering tasks from moderate to complex. Responsibilities include conducting research studies engineering investigations and assessments related to various engineering functions. Additionally the candidate will carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under the supervision of an EngineerInCharge and/or Resident Engineer. The scope of work and training encompasses one or more of the following specialized areas: design drafting engineering investigations cost estimation specification writing structural calculations conducting field surveys and participating in designrelated site inspections.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college. A degree in any other engineering area or in civil engineering technology is not acceptable.
