The New York City Campaign Finance Board manages New York Citys small donor democracy program and educates and engages voters via NYC Votes. The CFB has enjoyed a tremendous arc of progress over its 30year history and our updated flagship small donor democracy program is the centerpiece of this progress.
We eliminate barriers to participation by providing access to the resources New Yorkers need to vote or run for office and amplify the voices of small donors with New York Citys small donor democracy program.
We are dedicated to making New York Citys local democracy more open transparent and equitable. You would be working with a team that is missiondriven and committed to continuous improvement.
The Public Affairs division promotes the agencys key role in equipping all candidates and voters to power a fairer and more open democracy in New York City. We engage New Yorkers inform them about elections and boost their civic participation in the democratic process. Within Public Affairs the Product Management and Operations unit is responsible for managing the delivery of major/recurring projects such as the Voter Guide candidate materials agency publications and the CFBs web properties. Our project management language access and digital operations teams work together to ensure that our materials are accessible and relevant to all New Yorkers especially underrepresented communities.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management and Operations the Project Manager will lead the execution and distribution of agency publications and projects including the citywide Voter Guide mailed to all eligible voters in New York City. The Project Manager will also research and partner with vendors to produce new accessible versions of agency collateral such as audio Braille and audiencespecific editions of resource materials. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with the management of the Voter Guide and other projects as assigned including creating project schedules managing workflow and identifying and managing risks.
Collaborate with colleagues across the agency to obtain information and input and coordinate creation and distribution of materials.
Manage project budgets of over $1 million requesting and reviewing estimates and tracking expenses against approved budgets.
Identify project staffing and resource needs and work with Director of Product Management and Operations to assign internal staff or vendors to tasks.
Develop accessible versions of print video digital and other materials coordinating internal accessibility reviews conducting research and obtaining feedback as needed.
Clearly communicate project roles scope and timelines providing proactive and regular updates on progress.
Coordinate with design printing video and other vendors and report on costs scope of work and performance as needed to inform procurement processes.
Liaise with the Language Access team to request and deliver translated versions of materials.
Actively monitor and ensure the quality of all products.
Publish information to the website work with Digital Operations Specialist and directly supporting content entry during highvolume periods.
Conduct retrospectives on major projects and suggest process improvements including opportunities to use technology to improve workflow and efficiency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years of work experience overseeing major projects across multiple teams or stakeholders.
Experience managing projects with budgets of $1 million or more.
Experience overseeing digital projects and/or leveraging technology to improve the efficiency and quality of existing processes.
Knowledge of language(s) other than English.
Lived or work experience within immigrant communities.
Demonstrated interest or experience with plainlanguage writing accessible formats or related best practices to improve the accessibility of educational and communications materials.

Qualifications :
1. A bachelors degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by at least twelvesemester credits (or the equivalent of twelvesemester credits) in accounting auditing business or public administration computer science economics finance statistics graphic design personnel or human resources administration user experience design or a closely related area of study and one year of satisfactory fulltime experience in accounting auditing (including compliance or investigative auditing) business or public administration business analysis computer science database administration economics finance fiscal or economic management or research statistics graphic design personnel or human resources administration user experience design or a closely related field; or
2. A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in 1 above; or
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 above.
