What will you be doing
Were seeking a talented individual to join our Vetting team in Glasgow.
You will be responsible for performing the daily duties associated with all Vetting XP Docs functions to ensure ongoing compliance with antimoney laundering regulations the Financial Services Compensation Scheme Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) FCA and CASS rules knowledge of Suitability and KYC requirements. Ensure onboarding of new clients within agreed SLA and maintaining accurate data for existing clients.
As Technical Specialist Vetting your responsibilities will include among others:
- Ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard any anomalies are reported to your line manager within agreed timescales and ensure that personal and team KPIs / KRIs / MIR are met.
- Provide technical advice to assist in resolving issues or queries which arise within the team and assist with training new recruits in BAU activities acting as a positive role model.
- Prepare weekly management information statistics relevant to team duties.
- Support the change management programme relevant to your area and be actively involved in the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure.
- Ensure that fair treatment of clients is at the forefront of all activities and that all interactions are conducted in an open and transparent manner.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the firms regulatory framework how this applies to your role and an understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigated.
Qualifications :
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you should:
- Settlement operations experience gained within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of investment management including relevant terminology.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory environment and how it applies to and impacts your role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel.
- Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner.
- Strong Interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences.
Desired:
- Experience of delegating and reviewing work advantageous but not essential.
- For candidates with no relevant experience Scottish Higher / GCSEs (or equivalent) at level C or higher in relevant subject.
- Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential.
