Job Description

SHOPPER THOUGHT LEADERSHIP AND CATEGORY VISION

Lead the development of a shopperled insightdriven category vision that will drive sustainable longterm growth for both Red Bull Canada and our key retail partners.

Lead the Category Growth Vision by establish a compelling insightsdriven vision for the energy drinks category ensuring Red Bull is positioned as the category leader and growth driver.

Work hand in hand with Key accounts and category development managers to driver retailer collaboration through shopper insightsdriven presentations.

Provide superior thoughtleadership & support across Red Bull Canada key accounts for business reviews and JBP Meetings.

Deliver Shopper Insights that will guide and fuel the Red Bull sales cycle from Business Planning Strategies and Priorities to Chanel Playbooks and CMA selling stories.

Along with Brand Marketing and analytics counterparts lead the product portfolio management strategy through shopper analysis and assessment to ultimately define the role of SKUs in the portfolio inform on assortment prioritization by channels (with playbooks) and recommend guardrails for decision making (new products delistings etc).

Work hand in hand with the Marketing team and the trade marketing to lead the build of M&S Kick off deck grounded in shopper insights drive relevant Shopper Insights to the fields sales team monthly through the Cycle Plan and report on Brand/Occasion/events performances poste event.

Develop and lead the creation of customized customer sellin decks incorporating superior channelspecific shopper insights tailored to drive impactful engagement and alignment with our retail partners.

COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING

Deliver regular and ad hoc Shopper Insights materials and resources providing the organization with a clear view of the categorys shoppers and the insights to drive category growth and support for Red Bulls strategic initiatives.

Communicate insights to all levels of the organization on a regular basis through monthly call schedules newsletters and internal presentations.

Build and leverage relationships across Insights Sales and Marketing organizations to support consistent insights communications and to share best practices and resources.

Collaborate with Category Management as well as Commercial Data teams to provide competitive market analysis work and bring recommendations to the Sales Leadership team.

SHOPPER & CATEGORY INSIGHTS SUPPORT

Assist with management of shopper data vendors and Red Bull internal usage of & output from key partners like Numerator IRI Shopper data and Retailer specific loyalty card data portals.

Assist the Director of Category Management with ongoing adhoc and custom research projects from ideation to deck development to presentation.

Independently design develop and deliver regular quantitative shopper insights materials and reports that advance overall business goals across the Red Bull Sales Organization leveraging multiple and combined data sources to identify channel and retailerspecific opportunities for the Energy Drink Category and Red Bull brand.

Manage Custom Quantitative Analysis in partnership with Category Development & Retail teams for top power partner Retail accounts.

Stay informed of shopper analytics vendors trends and best practices to identify opportunities to optimize resources and deliverables.

Incorporate quantitative Shopper Insights into existing and syndicated insights to create powerful actionable and holistic insights narratives.

CROSSFUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

Collaborate with counterparts at Red Bull North America (RBNA) Red Bull HQ (Austria) and other Red Bull key markets for best practices sharing and jointly develop shopper insights and custom research initiatives.

Work closely with category management sales and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to category growth and brand initiatives.

LONGTERM STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

Support the Sales Leadership Team to inform and develop long term strategic road map including a 3 Years Strategic vision and rolling plan.

Lead and drive the Strategic roadmap process including: crafting the planning process defining and leading all necessary meetings and workshops identifying and collating the most relevant insights defining growth targets/KPIs and developing materials to communicate the plan to the organization.

Outlines the vision and strategy of sales business plan in line with National Sales & Distribution mission.

Break down the longterm deliverables into clearly defined work packages with short and longterm wins.

Inform critical Sales dept growth targets/KPIs for long term target setting.

ANNUAL BUSINESS PLANNING PROCESS

Drive the input and execution of the rolling Business Plan process incorporating all departments.

Deliver a commercial planning process that is adopted at both a national and regional level meeting global stakeholder expectations.

Provide Sales Leadership Team with strategic planning supported by market research analytics business metric development and progress reporting.

Monitor performance of Sales planning process to identify performance and ways of working gaps take learnings and refine sales planning processes and tools as needed. 

STORYTELLER

Collect and connect key insights into compelling opportunities customized to each audience; Key Retailer Leadership Red Bull Category Development Managers Red Bull Sales and Distribution Red Bull Product Marketing.

Confidence in content poise in delivery and audiencefocused material are table stakes within each message.

COMMUNICATOR

For Red Bull constituents listed above; Develop and maintain a centralized home for Shopper Insights for everyday access develop and maintain a forum for live share out of work just completed.


Qualifications :

5 years of experience in Shopper Insights preferably within CPG/Beverage.

3 years of experience in Sales Category Management preferably within CPG/Beverage.

Broad knowledge of CPG industry sources and uses vendors and their tools and capabilities.

Ability to connect data sources interpret analysis results formulate recommendations develop impactful presentations and present to broad audiences.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a proven track record of turning insights into actionable selling tactics.

Experienced in Microsoft Suite Excel and Powerpoint.

Global experience a bonus.

Bachelors Degree required preferably in Business or a related field.

Must be fluent in English additional language skills an advantage.
