JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager plays a key role in overseeing the daytoday operational activities of the company including warehouse management inventory control logistics and administrative functions. This position is essential in supporting the organizations objectives by ensuring seamless operations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership operational expertise strategic vision and a commitment to enhancing team performance and efficiency.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration and effective communication;
- Lead by example setting clear expectations and objectives;
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to align operational processes with the organizations longterm vision;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational processes and strategies;
- Prepare and propose elements of the annual operating and capital budget;
- Align areas of responsibility with budget objectives;
- Develop maintain and use KPI metrics and reporting tools as needed;
- Manage warehouse handling and distribution expenses effectively;
- Implement and maintain a chainofcustody tracking process;
- Optimize logistics and expedite processes;
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and partners within competitive price structures;
- Support product and equipment sourcing activities;
- Ensure compliance with Safety Health and Environmental policies and maintain related documentation;
- Oversee operational policies certifications permits and regulatory filings;
- Continuously evaluate and improve policies to uphold best practices;
- Establish SMART goals (specific measurable attainable realistic timely) for team members and provide coaching to achieve them;
- Participate in the recruitment training and integration of personnel;
- Collaborate with internal teams external partners and suppliers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction;
- Provide mechanical expertise and problemsolving support;
- Perform strategic analysis for product substitution or equivalence;
- Maintain an effective recycling program;
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as needed.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in warehouse management;
- Proficiency in procurement logistics and inventory control;
- Familiarity with service area geography;
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing;
- Proven operations team management experience;
- Demonstrated ability to align operations with the companys strategic vision and goals;
- P&L responsibility experience;
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint);
- WHMIS training and forklift certification (asset);
- RF gun proficiency;
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving abilities;
- Knowledge of transportation contract negotiations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Combination of relevant studies and experience in operations management or a bachelors degree in administration marketing or finance.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management within manufacturing and/or distribution industries.
Language:
- Fluent in English both oral and written.
