Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Kochi

Job Type: Fulltime

Reports To: Finance Controller

Position Overview: The Financial Manager is a key leadership role within the finance department reporting directly to the Finance Controller. This position is responsible for overseeing the daytoday financial operations of the company ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports compliance with regulatory requirements and the implementation of effective financial strategies and controls.


Job Description:


Financial Operations Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Overseeing of endtoend finance operations.
  2. Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  3. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  4. Support budgeting and forecasting activities.


Inventory Management:

  1. Oversee and ensure the accuracy of inventory records and levels.
  2. Coordinate with inventory control teams to conduct regular audits and cycle counts.
  3. Analyze inventory data to identify trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Work with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.


Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:

  1. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the audit process.
  3. Maintain and update internal control procedures.


Cash Flow Management

  1. Monitor and manage the organization s cash flow.
  2. Develop cash management strategies to optimize financial resources.


Taxation:

  1. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities such as GST TDS etc...


ERP implementation:

  1. Key role in designing and implementing of ERP systems


Process Improvement:

  1. Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
  2. Implement best practices in financial management.


Audit Handling:

  1. Manage statutory audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  2. Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.


Strategic Planning:

  1. Contribute to the financial strategic planning of the organization.
  2. Provide financial insights to support business decisionmaking.


Team Leadership and Development:

  1. Supervise and mentor the finance team.
  2. Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.


Qualifications:

  • Should be a Chartered Accountant with 4 10 years in Finance & Accounts Operations.
  • Indepth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
  • Experience in the Retail industry or similar sectors (optional but can be a plus).
