Our client is looking for a Value Engineering & Planning Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while maintaining strong cost controls and efficient planning. This position requires close collaboration with teams throughout the project lifecycle defining budgets timelines and workflows and driving operational excellence. Your expertise in civil engineering planning and cost control will be essential in delivering highquality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Define project timelines budgets and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation of RFQs/RFPs quotations and procurement processes.
Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with objectives and timelines.
Implement cost control mechanisms to manage project expenditures.
Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets without compromising quality.
Collaborate with design procurement and construction teams for smooth project execution.
Act as the central point of communication across all project phases.
Optimize workflows and resource allocation to enhance operational efficiency.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure continuous project progress.
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct audits and performance reviews to find areas for improvement.
Provide progress reports and operational insights to executive leadership.
Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices to improve operations.
Estimate construction costs for materials labor and equipment to support budgeting.
Identify costsaving opportunities and suggest alternatives to improve outcomes.
Strategically manage labor materials and equipment to minimize waste and delays.
Ensure clients resources are effectively used to meet project pipelines.
Anticipate future resource needs to prevent over commitment.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Industrial Engineering Operations Management or related field; advanced certifications (e.g. PMP Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
8 years of experience in planning control or cost management roles preferably in real estate development or construction.
Strong knowledge of project planning tools like Primavera MS Project or similar software.
Indepth understanding of procurement cost estimation and budgeting in construction.
Familiarity with health safety and environmental compliance regulations in the construction industry.
Expertise in project control and planning tools and methodologies.
