Reporting into the Operations Manager NonFerrous Managers primary functions are to receive and purchase nonferrous s brought to the facility sort and process the nonferrous s to meet industry and customer specifications and to ship materials to customers.
Essential Duties:
- Managing daytoday operations of the nonferrous department.
- Adjusting process to meet production demands improve inefficiencies and meet shipping obligations.
- Assuring that perpetual inventory remains accurate throughout the month and physically verify it on a period basis in accordance with company standards.
- Conducting regular inspections across the department and safeguard corrective actions are implemented to ensure that the department operates as intended in accordance with operational environmental and safety standards.
- Leading and oversee the preparation quality and shipment of prepared nonferrous metal products per industry company and customer specifications.
- Working with the transportation and commercial teams to ensure that delivery deadlines are met.
- Leading and overseeing the receipt of nonferrous s metal and raw material.
- Assure proper grading inspection and pricing processes are always being followed.
- Communicate with the commercial team when received materials are not in conformance with specifications.
- Assure that all s suppliers experience superior customer service.
- Run a costeffective operations strategy that ensures industryleading safety and environmental practices across the nonferrous team.
- Lead the implementation of all Environmental Health and Safety Programs to ensure that tasks are always being done safely environmentally responsible and efficiently.
- Coach Develop and otherwise manage employees including taking disciplinary steps as needed.
- Various other tasks will be required and assigned as needed for the continuous flow of operations at the yard.

- Must have working knowledge of Non Ferrous metals
- Must have strong sales skills and strive to develop longterm customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills telephone etiquette and computer knowledge.
- Must be able to negotiate prices service and terms with both customers and carriers.
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must display strong motivation and resourcefulness; be selfmotivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 25% of the time.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Education/Experience:
- 3 5 years of experience preferred. Management experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments recycling and the metal industry is preferred.
