Job Description
The Finance & Accounting Intern will gain valuable handson experience in the financial operations of Pilot Company. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of financial analysis accounting and reporting. The intern will work closely with finance and accounting professionals to contribute to the departments goals.
- FP&A Generate monthly forecast and analyze trends in sales volumes regional spreads and margins and G&A costs.
- Treasury Reconcile all Accounts Receivables and resolve and escalate all disputes.
- Middle Office Run reconcile and communicate daily P&L and Risk from trades.
- Trade Control Reconcile positions and values for exchange clearing activity.
- Confirmations Review Counterparty affirmations and work with Traders/Analysts to identify and reconcile economic anomalies.
- Settlements Create Settlements invoice and investigate and analyze volume and price differences. Work with counterparties and management to resolve any difference
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis projects including budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Accounting: Support accounting processes such as journal entries account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports and presentations for management.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends patterns and insights.
- Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation and coordination.
- Special Projects: Contribute to special projects as needed such as costbenefit analysis or process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- A strong interest in finance and accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand and follow complex detailed technical instructions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
