Job Description
Position : Backup Engineer (Commvault)
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager
REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore
SUMMARY OF ROLE AND OBJECTIVES:
As a Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining our Cloud/Hybrid environment with a focus of automating mundane task .Ensuring DR/backup solution in place and working as expected . You must be able to work in and adapt to a fluid fastpaced environment with strong communication collaboration and technical skills.
ROLE & OBJECTIVES:
Specific Assignments:
- Setup and maintain cloud/OnPrem Infrastructure:
- Maintain existing systems in the cloud
- Monitor the health of all systems in the cloud & On Prem system
- Check that all systems are complaint to company standards
- Administrate the cloud permissions and support segregated Sites/Zones
- Work in a team of engineers distributed over multiple locations
- Good Knowledge on Windows/Linux Troubleshooting
- Monitor platforms from an availability security and performance aspect
- Support the different product teams
- Share your knowledge and expertise within the company
Required
- Hands on Experience in Azure Cloud GCP
- Hands on Experience in in backup and Storage Commvault Veeam backup
- Experience with Windows/Linux Patching
- Good Knowledge in VMware vSphere (ESXi and vCenter)
- Good Knowledge in Handling Server performance issues
- Understand the applications and Dependencies in terms of services infra resources.
- High affinity towards modern technology and cloud
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7 years of Infrastructure management with minimum of 2 Years in Azure/GCP Cloud
Primary Skills
- Azure Mandatory & GCP
- Commvault Veeam backup
Secondary Skills
- Windows/Linux Patching
- VMware (Good to have and will be exempted if candidate is very strong in Azure)
- Scripting PowerShell/Terraform ( Good to have)

Cloud certifications in Azure/GCp public cloud Good to Have
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or comparable education .
- Certification ITIL Foundation V3 highly appreciated but not mandatory.
