Requirements
Job Description: As a Principal Consultant Tech Lead you will work with our clients to architect design and implement complex cloud and big data solutions. You will play a key role in developing data solutions using Snowflake MS Fabric/OneLake and other cloud technologies ensuring highperformance scalable and secure data architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Design: Develop and implement complex data solutions on Snowflake including Data Sharing Data Exchange and Snowflake Internal Marketplace. Design scalable data models data ingestion pipelines and data transformation workflows.
Big Data Implementation: Build and implement Big Data principles and solutions on MS Fabric/OneLake.
Integration: Integrate Snowflake data platform with nonSnowflake clients and vice versa.
Data Structuring: Design data structures and optimize data organization within Snowflake for efficient querying and analysis.
Data Warehouse Modeling: Implement standard Data Warehouse models using Star Schema and Data Vault practices supporting SCD2 scenarios.
ETL/ELT Processes: Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake and MS Fabric/OneLake ensuring high data quality and consistency.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Snowflake queries data loading strategies and warehouse configurations to maximize system performance.
Security & Compliance: Implement data security measures within Snowflake to protect sensitive information adhering to industry regulations and compliance standards.
DevOps & CI/CD: Set up and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Snowflake applications.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with crossfunctional teams such as business analysts product managers and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of engineers providing technical guidance conducting code reviews and offering problemsolving support.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in designing building and implementing architectural strategies.
Indepth understanding of Snowflake internals and ability to perform custom configurations.
Experience with cloudnative application development and Big Data principles particularly in AWS and Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of open data formats like Iceberg and Delta particularly for investment banking use cases.
Experience in building Data Mesh and Data Products including publishing/consuming data products on marketplaces using Snowflake AWS or Azure.
Handson experience with AWS services such as S3 Glue Lambda Snowflake on AWS Redshift and Glue Catalog.
Strong understanding of Azure technologies including ADLS 2.0 ADF 2.0 and Synapse Analytics.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python PySpark and Java.
Experience with notebook development using VSCode and implementing performance improvement practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Snowflake AWS or Azure.
Experience working in investment banking or financial services domains.
Knowledge of AI/ML data processing workflows.
