Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Furniture Coordinator to manage the receipt storage inspection and delivery of furniture. This role involves ensuring the proper maintenance coordination and installation of furniture across various areas. The Furniture Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing furniture logistics inventory management and performing routine inspections to ensure all furniture meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive furniture delivery orders and ensure efficient handling of such orders issuing furniture to the appropriate requester.
  • Conduct routine inspections of existing furniture and prepare snag reports submitting them to the Head of the Maintenance Section for further action.
  • Oversee that all furniture snags are corrected promptly by the maintenance crew.
  • Properly store both used and new furniture to prevent any damage during internal transportation.
  • Collaborate with the Civil Technical Supervisor to manage carpentry maintenance tasks including repairs and painting of various types of furniture (e.g. workstations classroom desks chairs cabinets office tables countertops and doors).
  • Ensure all furniture delivery requests are attended to on a daily basis from and to the store.
  • Maintain and update the furniture inventory regularly notifying the Head of Store when reordering is required.
  • Inspect and accept new furniture supplied by external suppliers ensuring it meets the required quality standards.
  • Monitor furniture installations performed by outsourced suppliers and take corrective actions if needed ensuring alignment with approved layout shop drawings.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the furniture warehouse ensuring that all items are stored according to manufacturer recommendations and best practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma in Architectural or Interior Design.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to furniture coordination maintenance and management.
