Job Description
- Full Time position (Maternity Cover Contract)
The Laboratory Analyst within the Food Chemistry Laboratory is responsible for performing analytical methods operating equipment/analytical instruments and managing sample registration and disposal.
Qualifications :
- Diploma in Science/Laboratory Techniques (or similar) or equivalent Food Testing experience preferred. Tertiary qualifications not essential but will be valued.
- Experience in a Commercial Food laboratory will be an advantage.
- Experience in using different equipment/instrumental (IC/GC/HPLC) and sample preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of standard office applications especially MS Word and MS Excel.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately logically and directly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team or to work independently when required.

- Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships.
