Job Description
This is a fulltime on site role located in Mississauga ON.
- Responsible for leading all Canadian Distribution Center Operations including but not limited to identifying long term strategy initiatives developing and driving KPI adherence oversight of daytoday tactical execution of order fulfillment inventory control quality assurance site safety and site facilities management
- Lead the WMS Enhancement Project for Freud Canada warehouse Operations
- Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency
- Identify team members struggling to consistently meet KPI targets provide feedback coach and develop to improve performance
- Support a team atmosphere that embraces the Freud Vision and Mission
- Make certain all Freud policies and procedures are enforced at all times
Qualifications :
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Business Supply Chain Industrial Engineering or similar field
- 7 years experience in logistics SCM (Supply Chain Management) or distribution center operation
- 35 years experience in leading operational units
- Extended knowledge in AS400 and WMS systems
- Some flexibility in schedule required depending on production demands
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership displays a strong drive for results and the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to prioritize in the face of ambiguity
- Strong ability to effectively communicate both up and down the organization structure
- Knowledgeable in all areas of Warehouse processes
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to train others on Operations Processes and Procedures
- Ability to input analyze and understand computer based WMS system transactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Physical Requirements:
- Incumbents will routinely be exposed to equipment operational noise
- Incumbents will be required to stand sit squat walk bend climb ladders move reach or stretch for prolonged time periods as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (WSIB OHSA Provincial and Federal regulations etc.).
- Pull push carry lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift with the use of Company provided reach assistance technology or movement assist technology (forklifts pallet jacks pulleys dollys people movers etc.) as required by job duties
