We are looking for a highly energized and passionate team player accountable for the sales results and development of new and existing business of our MACS Cell Sorting Imaging and Microscopy portfolio in Italy. Reporting to the Group Leader Instrument Sales Specialist this position involves building and maintaining key relationships with the ability to apply understanding of customer organizations needs and networks to integrate our innovative product workflows into their research applications. You will respond to customer needs whilst making use of all available technologies and channels to support the sales process. Growing the Cell Sorting and Imaging business and to meet the sales budget for the MACS Cell Sorting Imaging and Microscopy portfolio within the assigned territory is a responsibility.
Your role
- Sell solutions and the full workflow for the Cell Sorting and Imaging portfolio to new and existing clients in the sales region in the areas of cellular research (immunology neuroscience stem cell research and others).
- Plan and organize client instrument demonstrations working closely with the sales team and application specialists. Create strong links to and collaborates with internal Sales and Support teams as well as our teams within headquarters and Europe.
- Provide an accurate revenue forecast for the instrumentation portfolio within the assigned territory and an effective territory business plan in line with the companys strategic goals. Plan and execute effective customer visits and record all activities and opportunities within the companys CRM.
- Establish and maintain relationships with influential key opinion leaders within the Italian networks and maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products close deals and grow sales as well as identify and develop new prospects whilst maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
- Organize and conduct technical seminars within client accounts and to represent Miltenyi Biotec at national and international congresses.
- Monitor competitor activities and new product launches actively look for new trends and potential new opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum degree BSc in a biological discipline mandatory. An advanced degree MSc/Ph.D. in (stem) cell biology immunology cancer biology or neuroscience is desired.
- Demonstrated track record of success in life sciences sales with a minimum of 3 years sales experience and managing long sales cycles.
- Ability to communicate and influence change at/with senior level customer leadership and adapt/optimize your style of communication if necessary. With advanced listening & negotiation skills you are driven to achieve sales results and goals.
- Excellent time and territory management habits with the ability to make pragmatic decisions in a timely manner.
- Strong work ethic customeroriented commercial acumen and ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. You combine high positive energy with strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both facetoface and virtual settings ranging from small to large groups. Fluent English skills are mandatory.
