Job Description
Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst (US Citizens only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyze network traffic systems and applications for security breaches or incidents.
- Investigate and respond to security alerts events and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks.
- Develop implement and maintain security policies standards and best practices.
- Assist in the design and deployment of security measures including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to address and mitigate security risks.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and technologies.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Experience with security frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO 27001).
- Knowledge of tools such as SIEM (e.g. Splunk LogRhythm) vulnerability scanners (e.g. Nessus) and firewalls.
- Understanding of network protocols operating systems and cloud security.
- Certifications such as CEH CISSP CompTIA Security or similar are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
