Job Description
Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Mandatory Qualifications:- Experience writing and executing test cases as well as creating test plans.
- Knowledge and experience with software usability concepts requirements traceability and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience using Xray Test Case Management Tool and Jira for test management and project tracking.
- Strong SQL query knowledge including the ability to perform CRUD operations.
- Experience in test automation using UFT and Selenium.
- Experience conducting API Testing and automation with tools like Postman SOAPUI or JMETER.
- Experience working on various types of testing: unit integration regression smoke user acceptance system stress and performance.
- Knowledge of ObjectOriented Programming is preferred.
- Previous experience working with the State of Texas HHS agency and systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and end users.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Selfdriven with a focus on achieving team goals and milestones.
- Experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with code coverage tools and process analysis.
Key Responsibilities: - Write and execute detailed test cases and develop comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of software releases.
- Apply knowledge of software usability concepts requirements traceability and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process to enhance testing procedures.
- Utilize Xray Test Case Management Tool and Jira for effective test management and tracking.
- Collaborate with a scrum team in an agile environment to deliver software release sprints on time ensuring quality.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution using Jira ensuring all issues are systematically logged categorized and prioritized.
- Write and execute SQL queries to perform CRUD (Create Read Update Delete) operations.
- Perform API Testing using tools like Postman SOAPUI JMETER or similar to ensure the functionality of integrated services.
- Develop and execute automated test cases using UFT or Selenium for various testing processes (unit integration regression smoke user acceptance system stress and performance).
- Use code coverage tools to ensure the adequacy of test cases.
- Effectively communicate complex technical information both verbally and in writing.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a sprint development team to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks under tight time constraints.
- Track time spent on projects and provide accurate estimates for changes or enhancements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and responding to inquiries regarding errors problems or questions about programs.
