The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance reliability and compliance of automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and systems through rigorous validation and testing on HIL benches :
- Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
- Execute validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches ensuring smooth testing operations.
- Regularly update simulation models and test scenarios to reflect evolving system requirements.
- Develop automated test scripts using tools like Python CAPL or MATLAB to streamline validation processes.
- Integrate test cases into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient testing workflows.
- Analyze test results to identify issues in software or hardware performance.
- Provide detailed test reports including test coverage defect trends and validation status.
- Validate communication protocols (e.g. CAN LIN FlexRay Ethernet) and system interactions.
- Ensure that all testing activities comply with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 ASPICE and relevant OEM guidelines.
Qualifications :
With a Masters degree (BAC5) from an engineering school or university specializing in embedded systems you have proven experience in testing and validation on HIL benches. Knowledge of automotive functionalities is required.
A minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience in testing embedded systems within the automotive sector with a focus on HardwareintheLoop (HIL).
Required Skills:
- Handson experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE Vector CANoe NI VeriStand or ETAS.
- Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN UDS FlexRay) and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of test scripting languages such as Python CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems in vehicles including sensors actuators and ECUs.
- Experience in developing and executing validation test plans.
- Ability to analyze system behavior and diagnose the root causes of defects.
- Strong communication skills in English.
