The Senior Quality Engineer (SQE) will lead the quality function in product development to ensure quality targets are properly defined and implemented lessons learned are translated (designedin quality) while contributing TimetoMarket and higher customer satisfaction. The SQE will work together with other divisional experts or with Trade Good Suppliers in an international environment to manage quality activities and ensure continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
- Derive measures to improve preventive quality of our products and contribute to their implementation in the development process
- Collaborate with teams throughout the product lifecycle and track appropriate quality assurance measures to achieve required product maturities
- Create methods and reports to manage stakeholder expectations and foster datadriven communication in quality.
- Lead quality function in product development to ensure quality improvement opportunities are identified targets are properly defined and implemented lessons learned are translated to projects. during product development (designedin quality) and requirements for quality gates are met.
- Monitor and conduct analysis of warranty return & repair data failure cost and customer complaints for early detection of qualityrelated problems with a data driven approach.
- Develop quality improvement targets in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Identify and drive quality improvement and warranty cost reduction initiatives by ensuring timely and methodological problem solving through techniques such as 8D Fishbone 5why etc.
- Manage Trade Good Supplier quality issues and supplier development.
- Contribute to reduced TimetoMarket by improved execution of processes and avoidance of deviations in projects and products.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a comparable degree program (Masters Degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in hardware products and quality engineering is preferred.
- Experience working for a global organization and in manufacturing or related industry is preferred.
- Experienced in development processes preferably in agile principles as well as ISO Standards (i.e. ISO 9001 AS9100)
- Quality Manager Certification ISO Auditor and/or PMI Project Management Certification is desirable.
- Must demonstrate flexibility and act as a strong teamplayer across different international and multicultural stakeholders with a distinctive sense of responsibility customer orientation and a high level of social competence.
- Must be resilient in a changing business environment and have excellent communication skills.
- Must lead with confidence across different management levels and work crossfunctionally.
- Must have a processoriented way of thinking paired with a strong analytical approach.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English (German is a plus).
- Domestic and international travel required up to 20%.
