Job Description
Responsible for product and process quality within a gated product engineering process
Assess the maturity and quality of hardware and software products in the engineering product quality role
Train and mentor associates on the various quality methods including risk analysis and root cause investigation
Monitor field performance using global repair database
Support the corrective action process using the 8D principles
Work closely with manufacturing plant to address product and process quality issues
Identify and lead product and process continuous improvement projects (CIP) throughout the organization
Support sustaining engineering design improvements
Qualifications :
35 years experience as a quality professional
Expert in quality methods e.g. QFD CTQ FMEA DRBFM
BS in engineering discipline or related technical degree with 5 years relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of software development and quality
Experience with MS excel and Minitab (or other statistical software)
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Ability to work across global time zones
