Job Description

Project/Client: banking
Location: remote
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 612 months
Level: senior

Role:
We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to contribute to our Stability 2.0 initiative. The role focuses on enhancing system stability through advanced observability practices and tools.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in NewRelic for infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM).
  • Proficiency in Zabbix for effective system monitoring and alerting.
  • Handson experience with Chef for configuration management and automation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Terraform and/or Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and commandline utilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally with exposure to regulated environments such as banking.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional tools like the ELK stack Docker Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Prior experience in the banking sector or similar regulated environments is highly desirable with an understanding of compliance and security standards.
