Data BI Manager

Key Responsibilities:

(A) Leadership and Management:

•  Lead and manage a team of data scientists AI specialists data engineers & BI developers
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members
• Orchestrate CLevel initiatives and make sure all strategic initiatives are aligned and coordinated
• Regularly reviews progress and performance expectations with leadership teams across the organization providing expectations performance planning feedback training & development and performance discussions.
• Plan and execute country roll out and implementation of strategic initiatives
• Mentors Coaches and trains employees at various levels throughout the company.
• Lead by example in NewWaysofWorking in line with Metro guiding principles

(B) Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data and AI strategy aligned with the companys objectives
• Identify opportunities for leveraging data and AI to drive business value
• Define and implement a strategic roadmap for the CoE aligning with the organizations goals and objectives to maximize the impact of data and AI
• Establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Data and AI to drive best practices foster innovation and ensure the highest standards of quality across all data and AI initiatives
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate data and AI initiatives into the overall business strategy  
• Collaborate with Leadership at global Metro AG sites conduct workshops to identify critical to business problems and convert them into projects

(C) Project Management

• End to end accountability from concept design of a business transformation (Data and AI Projects) to implementation
• Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle

(D) Technical Expertise

• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and AI technologies
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team
• Evaluate and implement new tools technologies and methodologies to enhance data and AI capabilities

(E) Data Governance and Compliance

• Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Promote data quality and integrity across the organization

Qualifications :

1. Experience:

• 14 years of experience in data science artificial intelligence or related fields
• Proven experience in managing and leading data and AI teams
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex data and AI projects

2. Technical Skills:

•  Proficiency in programming languages such as Python R and SQL
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch or similar
• Strong understanding of data warehousing ETL processes and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark)
• Strong understanding of cloud platform and org level implementation expertise

3. Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment

4. Educational Qualification

• Minimum Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•  Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science Data Science or a related discipline is preferred
