Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to oversee the design implementation and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network technologies protocols and best practices and will ensure the optimal performance reliability and security of the organizations network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain enterprisegrade network infrastructure including LAN WAN and WLAN.
- Configure and optimize network devices such as routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Implement and manage network security solutions including VPNs IPS/IDS and firewalls.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce network policies and standards.
- Perform regular network assessments and capacity planning to ensure scalability.
- Document network configurations changes and troubleshooting procedures for operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Work with vendors to evaluate and deploy new networking solutions and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards security requirements and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CCNP CCIE or similar are highly desirable.
- 7 years of handson experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF EIGRP).
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Juniper or other enterprisegrade network equipment.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds Wireshark).
- Deep understanding of network security principles and technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS Azure or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing and managing SDWAN solutions.
- Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g. Python Ansible).
- Experience in large enterprise environments or data centers.
