Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Wireless Network Engineer to support our client in providing comprehensive wireless network infrastructure solutions.
Position Overview
- Deploy and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructures including WLAN LAN WAN DMZ and Datacenter environments.
- Work with Cisco WLCs Cisco Access Points Client Appliances and Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC/Prime) as well as Juniper MIST Juniper Access Points.
- Perform thorough assessments testing and validation to ensure wireless services meet functional and performance standards addressing complex issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement changes resolve challenges and modernize technologies to align with business needs.
- Enforce network security protocols to safeguard against threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations designs and modifications to enhance operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure designs and implementations comply with security standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of handson experience or formal training and certifications in wireless network engineering.
- Proficient in working with Cisco technologies: Cisco WLCs Cisco Access Points Client Appliances Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC/Prime).
- Experienced with Juniper technologies: Juniper MIST Edge Juniper MIST Access Assurance (cloudbased controller) Juniper Access Points.
- Expertise in designing configuring and troubleshooting wireless network infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of WiFi technologies protocols and standards as well as Guest WiFi and DMZ security zones.
- Familiar with network technologies such as firewalls proxies and load balancers.
- Experience with network services and tools including Radius DNS NTP SYSLOG SSH.
- Proficient in TCP/IP subnetting and network troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Visio to update network topology diagrams.
- Familiar with cloud technologies and services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP Wireless).
- Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python.
- A Bachelors Degree in a related field.
- Experience in large enterprise environments and regulated sectors like banking/finance.
