Job Title: Physician Hematology/Oncology
Job Type: Locum Tenens (with option for locumstoperm)

Service Setting: Clinic Cancer Center
Coverage Type: Clinical Call
Coverage Period: February 10 2025 Minimum 6 months
Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; 3 weeks per month
OnCall Shift Schedule: Night and weekend call rotation
Call Type: Phone and occasional onsite
Call Ratio: Rotational
Callback Rate: Up to 4 hours gratis for weekend call
PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics (18)
Patient Volume/Census:
1015 new consults per week
3035 patients in infusion center daily (50% receiving chemotherapy)
18bay infusion center including private rooms
Rounding: Not Included
Phone Consults: Yes part of oncall duties
Case Mix: Diverse cancer types; expertise with chemotherapy biologic therapy hormone therapy required
FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: Clinic 10 exam rooms; Hospital 318 beds
Trauma Level: Level II Preferred
EMR System: Cerner with Aria platform (integrated oncology information system)
Specialty Backup Available: Nurses NPs therapists support groups imaging center adjacent to cancer center
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges Available: No
Credentialing Timeline: 60 days (licensed); 90 days (unlicensed)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (airfare lodging hotel rental car or mileage)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: North Dakota license or IMLC (preferred)
Certifications: BLS DEA
Experience: Minimum 2 years; preferred candidates with less than 15 years of experience
Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Cerner and diverse oncology case management
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oncology services including chemotherapy biologic and hormone therapy
Manage diverse oncology cases in a robust cancer center setting
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care and treatment planning
Participate in night and weekend call rotations as scheduled
