Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine (ABEM FP/IM)

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Gadsden AL

Service Setting: Emergency Room (ER)

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: March 1 2025 Open

Clinical Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Emergency Department Patients

Annual Volume: 21000 visits

Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine Cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: EPIC

Support Staff: 24 MD / 12 NP Staffing Model

Reason for Coverage: Staffing Needs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Emergency Temporary Privileges

Credentialing Timeline: To Be Determined

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Included (Allin Rate)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Emergency Medicine Procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Alabama State License Required

Certifications: AL EMS ACLS ATLS Required

Board Certification:

Will accept ABEM AOBEM ABFM ABIM ABPS

Alternative Boards Accepted: Yes

Experience: Residency Trained Physicians Preferred

Other Qualifications: EM FP IM and GS Specialties Accepted

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care to patients

Assess diagnose and treat patients presenting to the emergency department

Perform necessary emergency procedures

Work scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and management

Collaborate with hospital staff and medical teams to ensure quality patient care
