Job Description
SGS is looking for Water Quality Analysts responsible for the organisation and completion of required field work in the Pilbara region and surrounding areas.
This is a FIFO role on an 8/6 roster Thursday to Thursday to Newman.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Collect water samples according to Australian Standards including Potable Water Waste Water Sewage Water Soil and Hygiene for testing against regulatory guidelines such as the Australian Drinking Water Guideline.
- Perform field tests to ensure results are within water quality acceptance criteria and to report anomalies immediately to the Project Coordinator/Client as directed.
- Prepare daily field reports and ensure they are submitted within 24hours of sampling.
- Arrange all field consumables sampling media and equipment as required for each job.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.
Qualifications :
- Degree Qualifications in Chemistry Environmental Science or other relevant fields desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrable technical skills within the mining sector with previous experience as a Field Sampling Technician.
- Previous experience in customer service and liaising with clients.
- C class manual licence
- 4WD training desirable
- Senior First Aid
- Availability for a FIFO role and Thursday to Thursday roster.
