Job Description
With a high degree of autonomy you will be supporting the legal function within the Wise group to help take the business to the next level including:
- Support legal function across APAC markets advising on licensing market entry and partnerships.
- Structure draft and negotiate commercial agreements with banking/payments partners and service providers.
- Provide practical advice to Product and Expansion teams supporting new services and market entry.
- Assist with governance initiatives and advise on legal rights and duties of subsidiary companies in APAC.
- Collaborate with the global Legal team to support wider company needs and stay updated on legal developments in APAC.
- Mentor and upskill relevant directors officers and teams simplifying complex legal matters.
Qualifications :
We are looking for someone passionate about fintech or finance with:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in APAC focusing on payments financial services or technology
- Significant experience in toptier law firms with a focus on Corporate M&A and Banking & Finance legal matters
- Proven experience in commercial contract structuring drafting and negotiation
- Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex matters
- A collaborative problemsolving approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Wellorganised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility adaptability and high integrity
Experience in Australia is a plus.
