Job Description

The team is building a robust control framework to ensure the entire Wise product portfolio is covered with essential screening checks and prevent onboarding of sanctioned individuals  organisations and politically exposed people. We ensure that associated risks are thoroughly mitigated and that controls are functioning effectively.

We are scaling our operations team and developing robust solutions to ensure that screening alerts are accurately checked fully auditable and seamlessly managed. As part of this effort we are also focused on enhancing the customer experience making it easier and more convenient for customers impacted by sanctions to provide necessary information and documents while ensuring clear communication throughout the process.

In this role you will work closely with our operational backoffice and compliance teams to understand their workflows and challenges. Youll take a leading role in redesigning and rebuilding our internal tooling solutions for case handling and management creating tools that are intuitive efficient and scalable. By improving both internal tools and customerfacing processes youll make a significant impact on our operational excellence and the overall experience for our customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • We want to fight financial crime not just comply with requirements

  • Run comprehensive screening checks across all products and use cases

  • Ensure an invisible and frictionless experience for our customers

  • Nearreal time performance requirements for data processing

  • Automation of manual processes: if some process logic can be described it can be automated

 


Qualifications :

ABOUT YOU: 

  • You have at least 7 years of experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React (and Typescript) or similar

  • You have experience working with REST APIs and can read and understand backend code (e.g. Java)

  • Understanding of good UX and comfortable working with CSS

  • Desire for creating clean testable code and open to feedback

  • A strong product mindset you prioritise work with the customers and operational teams in mind and make datadriven decisions

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences and a strong ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including designers product managers analysts and researchers

  • Being able to work independently on customer problems is a key to success you take responsibility and endtoend ownership of your projects: drive and own them to make sure we hit the goals we want to achieve
