ESG/Sustainability Strategy Principal
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Spain on a fulltime basis.
Ramboll is seeking someone with initiative relevant experience and professionalism to join its ESG and sustainability team. The right individual will lead the growth of our ESG and sustainability practice and contribute to advancing innovative crossdisciplinary solutions for our clients. To succeed in this role you must have a BS or MS in a relevant field and 15 to 20 years of work experience specifically in ESG or sustainabilityrelated disciplines across multiple industry sectors. You will join our ESG and Sustainability Practice
As our new Principal you will be part of a dynamic team providing stateoftheart scientific technical and strategic assistance to an international client base. Youll have a proven track record as an experienced consultant with an emphasis on sustainability greenhouse gas management the energy transition and/or ESG or climate change strategy with corporations. Youll drive business development activities within your network and with other Ramboll clients while overseeing high quality project execution and building the team to support your practice.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Provide overall leadership for ESG and sustainability services including developing longterm client relationships building sales pipeline ensuring high quality project delivery and growing and building capacity of the required team to deliver against agreed upon growth targets
- Provide industryspecific thought leadership on emerging ESG sustainability and climate change topics and leverage your and Rambolls collective expertise to position Ramboll as a trusted expert advisor in this sector
- Oversee project delivery with a focus on client management quality assurance and building deep longterm relationships that position Ramboll as the partner of choice for our clients
- Collaborate with Rambolls energy water management consulting and EHS experts in deploying integrated sustainability solutions as a marketplace differentiator
- Drive innovation and thought leadership within focus area(s) to stay ahead of client needs and support brand and positioning efforts
- Build sector / offering specific capacity within the team including leading recruiting efforts providing formal and informal learning opportunities and driving career development for junior team members
Your starting point for growth
From the moment you join Ramboll we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the Company. For this role we believe your starting point is:
- BS or (preferably) MS in a relevant field and 1520 years of work experience in multiple industry sectors and ESG or sustainabilityrelated field.
- Solid track record in assisting corporate and financial clients on local and European ESG regulations (e.g. SFDR TCFD Carbon neutrality strategies and tools/Water stratgies (AWS) /Biodiversity (TFND) CSRD etc.) including Iberian Market.
- Demonstrated thought leadership in the above sectors and disciplines.
- Strong technical skills and experience in writing technical proposals and reports.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Local language English C2 level. Portuguese is a plus.
