The Python Developer will provide a key role in developing critical applications and ensuring best
practices are implemented for reliability and maintainability. This role requires excellent communication
skills a strong foundation in computer science and a wide range of experience in software development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Use computer programming languages to implement and build endtoend systems which support
database connectivity implementation/integration/development API development/design and
systems integration.
Must be able to program test execute debug and deploy solutions.
Use skills to validate the functionality of software solutions and provide necessary support to
endusers to resolve different operational issues.
Work with different teams (IT managers Executives Business Partners and Other Engineers) to
better understand the business and the challenges.
Clearly articulate system and model inefficiencies.
Troubleshoot medium to high complexity problems.
Evaluate a wide range of technologies as part of a solution design and document the resulting
designs and conclusions
Work within an Agile/Scrum ecosystem
Create technical documentation
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Proficiency in Python programming language. (2 years)
Proficiency in API development and integration using RESTful APIs. (1 year)
Experience with at least one Python framework (Flask Django or similar).
Experience in API development and interprocess communication with technologies such as
JSON REST and SOAP
Solid understanding of containerization concepts and experience with Docker.
Familiarity with Kubernetes YAML configuration files and resource management.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins GitLab CI etc.).
Understanding of cloud computing concepts preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and
services like Cloud Run Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage BigQuery Pub/Sub.
Experience with Apigee Edge platform (including API proxies policies and management tools).
Familiarity with API security concepts like OAuth OpenID Connect and JWT.
