Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated parttime Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon to join our team at a clinic in Dilshad Garden. In this role you will be responsible for providing highquality ophthalmic services and performing phacoemulsification surgeries for patients. The Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon plays a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various ophthalmic conditions improving patients vision and ensuring their overall eye health.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose ophthalmic conditions and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Perform phacoemulsification surgeries with precision and expertise adhering to the highest standards of surgical techniques.
- Evaluate patients medical histories and discuss surgical options potential risks and expected outcomes with them.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide holistic care for ophthalmic patients ensuring continuity of treatment and followup care as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to treatment planning and patient management.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to assess ocular health and detect any abnormalities or diseases interpreting test results accurately.
- Prescribe medications ophthalmic solutions and other treatment modalities based on individual patient needs and conditions.
- Educate patients about eye care preventive measures and postoperative care instructions addressing their concerns and queries empathetically.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records including examination findings treatment plans and surgical outcomes ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in clinical practice maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest level of integrity.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ophthalmic research surgical techniques and medical technology actively pursuing professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives participate in clinical audits and implement best practices to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Participate in community outreach programs educational workshops or public health initiatives to raise awareness about eye health and preventive eye care.
- Collaborate with optometrists ophthalmic technicians and support staff to optimize workflow and ensure efficient patient management within the clinic.
- Adhere to all safety protocols infection control measures and regulatory standards to create a safe and sterile surgical environment.
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in Ophthalmology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon in the specified location.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology and specialized training in phacoemulsification surgery.
- Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently with a successful track record of surgical outcomes.
- Indepth knowledge of ophthalmic diseases treatment modalities and surgical interventions with a focus on evidencebased practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills excellent bedside manner and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Proficiency in utilizing ophthalmic diagnostic equipment surgical tools and electronic medical records systems.

- Sound judgment critical thinking skills and the ability to make timely and informed clinical decisions.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
