Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Combat Mission Systems business focusing on ground combat vehicles.
This role involves collaborating with electronics suppliers to ensure the quality production of PCBAs/CCAs and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) enclosures.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will colocate at the supplier s Dayton Ohio facility to address quality concerns perform defect investigations and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with electronics suppliers to support the manufacturing of PCBAs/CCAs and associated LRUs.
- Ensure production quality by colocating at the supplier s facility.
- Investigate evaluate and resolve supplier quality issues including conducting defect investigations and trend analysis.
- Lead rootcause analysis to address nonconformance issues and evaluate their impact.
- Communicate requirements expectations and findings effectively with all stakeholders.
- Participate in technical meetings within the Integrated Product Team.
- Support process improvement initiatives at supplier facilities to promote a Zero Defect mentality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with IPCA600 and IPC JSTD001 standards.
- Proficiency in structured problemsolving and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills including written verbal and presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in IPCA600.
- Experience in designing PCBAs/CCAs for aerospace or defense industries.
- Familiarity with MILPRF standards ISO 9001 AS9100 and AS9102B standards.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC qualification principles servo amplifier design and low/high voltage power systems.
