Job Description
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requests.
- Utilize handheld devices or RF scanners to identify and track inventory.
- Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before packing.
- Maintain organization of the stock area to improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures while operating machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments as needed.
- Ensure all picked items are packed securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
- Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow proper quality control measures throughout the picking process.
- Check for expired or damaged goods and remove them from inventory.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding order updates and delays.
- Stay informed about company policies best practices and any changes related to order picking and inventory management.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a reliable and timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Basic computer skills to operate scanning devices and track orders.
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Strong attention to detail to minimize picking errors.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse facility.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.
- Commitment to maintaining high levels of organization and cleanliness.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Ability to adapt to fastpaced environments and changing priorities.
