Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate machinery used in plywood production.
- Perform precise measurements and cutting of wood sheets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Apply finishing techniques to plywood surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and production timelines.
- Inspect raw materials for defects and quality assurance.
- Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document production activities including time logs and material usage.
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and production processes as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and safety knowledge.
- Assist in the development of new plywood products and techniques.
- Provide input for improving manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in woodworking or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in operating woodworking machinery and tools.
- Strong understanding of plywood manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in manufacturing.
- Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime if necessary.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience with quality control processes is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is an advantage.
