Overview
The Manager of Womens Services plays a crucial role in promoting and managing programs that cater to the unique health and social needs of women within the community. This position is integral to the organization s mission to empower women through access to comprehensive care resources and support systems. The Manager will oversee the development implementation and evaluation of services that address womens health issues including reproductive health mental health and preventive care. This position is vital for ensuring that women receive equitable treatment in a safe and supportive environment. In addition to managing daily operations the Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders including healthcare providers community organizations and government agencies to enhance service delivery and advocate for women s health needs. By fostering an inclusive culture and providing leadership the Manager of Womens Services ensures that the organization stands at the forefront of addressing the challenges faced by women in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Looking for 23 years of leadership experience within the L&D unit as a Charge RN Supervisor or Manager (this department really needs some strong leadership the Director was just promoted from this Manager role and it is a big and busy team). Candidates need to also have 35 years of acute hospital nursing specifically within Labor & Delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in women s health services or labor and delivery
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or social services setting.
- Strong understanding of women s health and wellness issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Familiarity with community resources and healthcare systems.
- Experience in grant writing and management.
- Knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and crisis intervention strategies.
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Experience in advocacy or policy development a plus.
- Commitment to promoting equity in health services.
