Job Description

Overview

The MBBS RMO (Resident Medical Officer) plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment at our facility located in Rohini Delhi. This position is integral to delivering highquality medical care to patients who require immediate attention and observation. The RMO will work under the supervision of senior medical staff and will be responsible for the overall management of patient care ensuring medical standards are met while addressing the diverse health needs within the community. The RMO will ensure compliance with medical protocols documentation and also engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes. This role is vital for maintaining the operational efficiency of the hospital and enhancing the quality of service offered to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Provide immediate care in emergency situations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for patient care planning.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per physician directives.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and responses to treatment.
  • Assist in surgical procedures and other medical interventions as directed.
  • Conduct followup visits and home care evaluations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
  • Respond promptly to patient queries and concerns.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Stay updated on medical advancements and trends relevant to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  • Valid Medical Council registration in India.
  • Minimum 12 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical protocols and procedures.
  • Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in highpressure environments.
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to work on shifts including nights and weekends.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and clinical judgment.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
  • Empathy towards patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
