Job Description
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Provide immediate care in emergency situations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for patient care planning.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician directives.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Assist in surgical procedures and other medical interventions as directed.
- Conduct followup visits and home care evaluations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Respond promptly to patient queries and concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and trends relevant to the position.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid Medical Council registration in India.
- Minimum 12 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of medical protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in highpressure environments.
- Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work on shifts including nights and weekends.
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills and clinical judgment.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Empathy towards patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
