our client is leading FMCG Multinational across Middle East and looking to hire a Assistant Manager Logistics based out of Dubai UAE office
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies.
- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
- Track shipment schedules and manage logistics documentation.
- Analyze and improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators for logistics and report on findings.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping delivery or inventory discrepancies.
- Estimate costs for transportation and logistics services.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for logistical operations.
- Train and mentor junior logistics staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
- Investigate and implement new technologies that could enhance logistics operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Experience with logistics software and warehouse management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct cost analysis and budgeting.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- candidates with strong SAP and Excel experience from comparable fmcg companies
- The candidate should already be based in UAE ideally and worked on exports.
