The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Director of Operations Accommodation to oversee the operations of the hotel and condos within our accommodation division. In addition to driving operational excellence enhancing guest experiences and ensuring financial success this role will particularly focus on the growth and expansion of the division. Previous experience and demonstrable results achieved in the hospitality industry is a must.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Oversee the operations of the accommodation units leading alignment in our teams and working towards specified performance targets.
- Implement strategic initiatives to enhance team performance guest satisfaction and community engagement within the accommodation division.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability by implementing financial best practices.
- Grow the balance sheet by searching for management contracts and property management opportunities.
- Collaborate with other Operational Directors to ensure seamless integration of services across the company.
Guest Experience Excellence:
- Champion a culture of exceptional guest service within all accommodations ensuring a consistent and highquality experience.
- Work closely with the Offering Manager to continuously improve services and offerings adapting to guest feedback and market trends.
- Develop and implement programs that enhance guest experiences from checkin to checkout across all accommodation properties.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Foster collaboration among teams within the accommodation division encouraging innovation and the sharing of best practices.
- Mentor and develop team members ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve outstanding results.
Productivity Oversight:
- Monitor and evaluate operational performance within the accommodation division to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue to implement effective sales strategies that maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Manage budgets and financial performance for the accommodation units ensuring profitability while maintaining quality.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable results achieved in a tourism or hospitalityrelated business.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire team members to achieve demonstrable results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to priorities and project manage effectively.
- Open and curious mindset; you show up with more questions than answers.
