Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the mechanical design process using CAD software.
- Conduct detailed technical analyses and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to refine product specifications.
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Prototype designs and evaluate their functionality.
- Analyze engineering change requests and assess impacts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate across departments to troubleshoot design issues.
- Utilize analytical skills to recommend design improvements.
- Maintain thorough records of all design modifications.
- Provide training and support to junior engineers as needed.
- Assist in project management with timelines and deliverables.
- Research new materials and technologies to enhance design.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for component sourcing.
- Support quality assurance processes and testing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 25 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with a detailoriented mindset.
- Experience with technical documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with material properties and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience in project management and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in prototyping and testing practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
