Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery
Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain an environment that supports compassionate care through authentic presence with patients and families.
- Collect and document data for assigned patients according to prescribed methods.
- Interpret assessment data to identify physiological and/or psychosocial risk factors recording and reporting variances from normal parameters.
- Collaborate with patients families and healthcare team members to develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and responses.
- Implement nursing and physician orders safely and effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of advanced nursing theory techniques medical terminology instruments medications and their effects.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Knowledge of Cerner EMR.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN).
- Advanced NRP certification.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.
- AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Education
- Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelor s or associate degree preferred.
Physical Setting
- Acute care inpatient environment.
