Job Description
Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
- Provide medical care and support to patients ensuring safety and comfort during recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications IV fluids and other treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery processes.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in medical records.
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid state license.
- Required certifications: BLS PALS ACLS CHS NIH Certification.
- Must have ICU experience and PACU experience in trauma level 1 or 2 facilities.
- Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Familiarity with NIHStroke protocols is a plus.
